Hey all - thanks to everybody who was wondering where the heck I went... I've been at the family cabin in Manitoba this past week and just plum forgot to update the blog before I went. D'oh!
Its been a weird week here without my Dad who died a few months ago; this is the first time we've been to the cabin without him, and like a lot of 'firsts' it's hard on my Mom to experience these times without Dad, but we've managed to have a good time mostly.
Anyhoo... back to regular scheduled doses of dudes in undies on Monday.

Where did the first image of Northstar come from?
Hey everybody - thanks for the positive vibes! It was a good vacation with the family in Manitoba and was mostly relaxing (except for the occasional beheading on the highway. ick)
That first drawing of Northstar - and all these images - are from the beefcake-stuffed Marvel Comics Illustrated specials from that Marvel published in the '90s to cash-in on the popularity of the Sports Illustrated swimsuit issues.
I think they need to make a comeback. I'd love to see Frank Cho draw Hercules and his bro Ares in ancient Greek beach-attire!
The swimsuit specials need to come back. And as much as I like the
humor and the cheese factor I'd really like to see a little more 'adult' version this time.
(More Cho, less those guys who draw Northstar like he's a body builder.:)
