Sneaky Bastards

My hero and secret bf Stephen Colbert is making an appearance in the Marvel universe in Amazing Spider-Man #573, and it looks like I'm going to have to actually buy a Spider-Man comic, darnit.

Like a lot of comic fans I've been avoiding the Spider-Man titles ever since Peter decided to become Satan's butt-buddy so that he could ditch his hot super-model wife and turn the clock back to being a geeky single doofus again... but this issue looks like it could be fun. I wonder if Colbert will slip-into spandex at any point?

soo totaly agree about the whole one more day thing. how exactly will turning pete into a single looser bumming of his elderly aunt (whos what, must be over a hundred now?) making him more identifiable to his readers?

but love marvels Colbert variations

OMD was terrible. I was never a reader of Spiderman (except Ultimate), but they really sent the title to hell. Hey, I gotta give you props on your post today. Sandman & Black Panther were excellent!

Thanks mechadude2001!

Stephen Colbert has kindof worn spandex before... but only in animated form. He has a space-faring adventurer character based on his awful book that has been animated in segments on his show a few times. Plus, he and John Steweart used to do the voices for the Ambiguously Gay Duo on SNL!
